Light Mountain Natural Henna – Color the Gray

Monday, April 2nd, 2012

After having a hair color experience I did not like using Light Mountain Henna I decided to give the brand another try.

But this time I used Light Mountain Henna – Color the Gray, in hopes this line would make my gray disappear into the rest of my hair color.

I like the ingredients on this product, and because of that, I didn’t mind giving it another shot.

I selected the color Mahogany because the box read if your hair color is black than Mahogany would make it warm black. So I thought that would be a cool color for me. But, I guess, what I should have done was consider the color of my gray hair and not the color of my actual hair.

My gray before the henna.

My hair after the Henna. I don’t like this color. I just wanted the gray to turn black or something close to it. When will I learn?

I have been using Light Mountain Red for more than three years to color my grey hairs. I have no complaints. Perhaps you should try using a color that will match your skin tone. That usually works best for me. Good Luck

I tried this brand of henna, and never liked it. I order my henna from Ancient Sunrise. What I like about this brand is that they sell the henna kits. They already contain the correct amount of henna to indigo ratio so that I don’t have to figure it out. I use the Henna for Gray hair kit, and I love it.

If you want to color grey, white, or silver hair with henna, it is a TWO STEP process. Coloring grey, white or silver hair will give you red tones and it will take at least 24 hours for the color to oxidize (get darker than bozo the clown red). Color the hair with henna. THEN COLOR THE HAIR WITH INDIGO. YOu will get deep browns over the grey without chemicals.
