Miss Jessie’s

Monday, June 14th, 2010

Last week Miss Jessie’s had a party to launch their move from Brooklyn to the SoHo district in Manhattan. I didn’t even know there was a hair salon in my borough. I also didn’t know Miss Jessie’s is really two women who are sisters. Sometimes I can be so behind the times.

I don’t use their items because, well, I am not all natural yet, and because of my vegan lifestyle, there are certain ingredients in the products that I am trying to avoid such as propylene glycol, mineral oil and other chemicals I cannot pronounce.

However, I am very proud of the extremely beautiful sisters, who are half Japanese. I had a good time at their party. In attendance were a lot of natural heads; some were clients, some were natural hair stylists and others, like myself, just wanted to support.

Check out the photos below from the event.

Great pics :o ) My mom’s neighbor here in Maryland used to go to them to get her hair done.

I was questioning miss jessie’s products. I am still looking for similar products that are vegan. Have you come across any?
