Juicing for the Hair

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

Some of you may remember my post about juicing for hair growth. I decided to write another post regarding juicing because juicing is so good for you in many ways. I use to juice a gallon a day. After two months or so I cut back to a 1/2 gallon 4 times a week. I noticed a positive change in the way I looked. My co-workers noticed it too. I felt good and I had energy. It was totally a good thing.

After about 6 months, I cut back even less than 4 times a week and then I just stopped. I got busy with life and I started to not like my Jack La Lanne Juicer because there was more juice in the pulp then in my glass. But busyness and not liking a juicer are not good reasons to stop. Not even juicing is expensive because of the fruit and vegetable you have to buy, or juicing is a lot of work, are good enough excuses. I should have found time, bought another juicer and realized that it is better to spend money on juicing than on medication and frequent doctor visits.

I am glad my Mom gave me a juicer for my birthday. Now I am back in action. I decided to juice the hair growth recipe  I made before but with a twist. I added different greens and fruit for a different taste.

  • 6 carrots
  • 2 handfuls of alfalfa sprouts
  • 4 red chard leaves
  • 1 apple
  • 4 strawberries

The drink was still good, but in this recipe, I like the romaine lettuce better than the red chard.  As usual all of the ingredients are organic!!

Fresh juice

I’m drinking…

I’m drinking…

I’m STILL drinking!
